Friendly reminder to prevent frozen water lines
The season for having frozen water lines has arrived and it's time to take the necessary precautions if your home or buildings will be unoccupied.
The best and easiest way to prevent frozen lines from occurring is to turn your water off at your meter box or at the main shut off inside your home as a second choice.
What we have learned from past experience is that if it is 20 degrees outside temperature, a crawl space or unheated building will be 30-35 degrees, but the wind chill through an opening should be a consideration also.
